Spring Book Fair

March is Reading Month, and we've got a lot of great books in our Spring Book Fair!

You can shop online, too!  Here is the link:

We appreciate your support!  We gain fresh, new books for our library through this fair!

Makerspace in the Media Center

We had a good time at the Makerspace Activity, exploring creativity in the Oak Valley Media Center! With Dash Robots, we coded a pathway and also gave directions to play a song on a xylophone:

The Ozobots followed our color codes, creating spins and turns with turbo action, too!

Students did an amazing job of building complex (and tall) structures with simple Keva Planks:

And it's always relaxing and fun to make a craft together!

Oak Valley Goes to Mexico!!

For March is Reading Month, OVMS promoted reading while using a Mexican theme! Students decorated classroom doors by combining two ideas, as follows:

Mrs. McDonald's art class won first place with this rendition of Frida Kahlo reading and dancing!

Mrs. Perez's class won second place with the Reading Fiesta book shelf!!

Mrs. Tapley's class uses a pinata to encourage us to "Hit the Books!"

Let's try to "Taco Bite out of Reading!"
